SISTER HAZEL, ÓRLA FALLON, THE SMITHEREENS, DAVID SANBORN & MORE COMING TO THE MUSIKFEST CAFE

BETHLEHEM, PA—Eight-time Grammy Award winners Asleep at the Wheel, former Celtic Woman singer and harpist Órla Fallon, Traffic founding member Dave Mason, rockers The Smithereens and saxophone great David Sanborn are among the nine new concerts announced for the Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling, located at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks™, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Tickets for the shows will go on sale starting Tues., July 12, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and Fri., July 15, 10 a.m., to the public. They will be available at www.artsquest.org or 610-332-3378.

Sister Hazel – Aug. 25, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $30 Balcony/$25 Cabaret

In 1997, Sister Hazel struck gold with its hit, "All For You," which topped the Billboard Hot Adult Top 40 charts and also reached the Top 10 of the alternative rock charts. Over the years, the group has sold more than two million albums while producing six Top 30 singles.

Dave Mason – Sept. 8, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $54 Balcony/$44 Cabaret

A founding member of the group Traffic, Dave Mason has penned more than 100 songs and struck gold with the now classic album, Alone Together. During his career, Mason has also teamed up with legends such as The Rolling Stones, George Harrison and Jimi Hendrix. In 2004, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Traffic.

Sones de Mexico – Sept. 27, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $25 Balcony/$20 Cabaret

Sones de Mexico formed in 1994 to keep the exciting and ear-catching tradition of Mexican 'son' alive in its many regional forms. The troupe specializes in son's regional variations including huapango, gustos, chilenas, son jarocho and more. A nonprofit organization, it is committed to teaching and providing numerous educational programs for young and old alike.

Asleep at the Wheel – Sept. 30, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $44 Balcony/$34 Cabaret

The wheel keeps rolling for this eight-time Grammy winner! Formed in the early '70s, Asleep at the Wheel is known for its western swing, boogie and roots music. The group tours relentlessly and has released more than 25 albums, entertaining audiences throughout the nation with its genre-busting music for four decades.

Órla Fallon – Oct. 6, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $44 Balcony/$34 Cabaret

Hailing from the County Wicklow in Ireland, former Celtic Woman singer and harpist Órla Fallon credits her late grandmother for instilling an abiding love of Irish music and traditional culture. Since leaving Celtic Woman in 2008, Fallon has embarked on a successful solo career that includes two PBS specials - the 2010 holiday special, Órla Fallon's Celtic Christmas, and 2011's My Land. Over the years, Fallon has performed for the Pope, Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, and Irish President Mary McAleese, both as a solo artist and with Celtic Woman.

Al Stewart – Oct. 7, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $40 Balcony/$30 Cabaret

Scotland's Al Stewart began his career playing guitar in the Sabres, and moved from there to the London folk club scene. His 1976 album, Year of the Cat, spun off two Top 20 hits - the title song and "On the Border" - en route to becoming a million-selling release. The follow-up, 1978's Time Passages, repeated the success of its predecessor, selling a million copies and yielding the Top 10 title track and Top 30 single, "Song on the Radio."

The Smithereens – Oct. 9, 7:30 pm.

Tickets: $42 Balcony/$32 Cabaret

Formed in 1980 in Union, N.J., alternative rock/power pop group the Smithereens have released seven albums and are known for their Top 40 radio hits such as "Too Much Passion," "Blood and Roses" and the chart toppers "Only a Memory" and "A Girl Like You." The group's latest album, 2011, was released in April.

David Sanborn Trio featuring Joey DeFrancesco – Oct. 19, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $49 Balcony/$39 Cabaret

Renowned and revered the world over as one of the greatest saxophone players of all-time, David Sanborn is an artist whose music has inspired countless musicians while creating a body of work that spans the genres of rock 'n' roll, R&B, pop and jazz. A naturally gifted performer, Sanborn has helped define the saxophone's modern sound while influencing a generation.

Sonny Landreth – Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $30 Balcony/$25 Cabaret

Eric Clapton says Sonny Landreth "is probably the most underestimated musician on the planet and also probably one of the most advanced." From the Reach, the Grammy-nominated Landreth's most recent album, was the first to be released on his own Landfall label. On it, the Louisiana-based slide-guitar wizard did something unprecedented in his body of work, as he collaborated with five of the greatest guitar players on the planet - Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson and Vince Gill - in some jaw-dropping performances. Landreth has performed at festivals throughout the nation, including at Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, as well as MerleFest and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
