BETHLEHEM, PA—The SteelStacks Farmers Market in Bethlehem will have a new home for the next month as it moves from First Street to the National Museum of Industrial History (NMIH) lot on Second Street for Musikfest.
The market, which is open Tuesdays, 3-7 p.m., through Nov. 8, will take place on NMIH's parking lot on Second Street, next to the future industrial history building, on Tuesdays, July 26 and Aug. 2, 9 and 16. The move was made possible thanks to NMIH president Steve Donches, who offered to host the market while its regular home at PNC Plaza at SteelStacks, 645 E. First St., is being used for Musikfest's Sands Steel Stage main stage.
"Thanks to the assistance of the National Museum of Industrial History, our Tuesday growers' market will continue uninterrupted over the next few weeks," said SteelStacks Farmers Market Manager Lorraine Torrella. "We thank NMIH for its gracious support, which will allow us to continue to serve the community, as well as guests at Musikfest, by providing fresh, local produce; organic meats and cheeses; homemade desserts and more."
Parking for the SteelStacks Farmers Market will be available at the gravel parking lot on Second Street, across the street from the National Museum of Industrial History and the farmers market. The market will return to its home at PNC Plaza starting Tuesday, Aug. 23.
