From Bebop and Swing to Cool Jazz and Free Improvisation, you'll experience the finest this genre has to offer during this series showcasing national touring acts and some of the best jazz performers from the Lehigh Valley.

Walter Trout & the Radicals, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Bela Fleck and the Marcus Roberts Trio, and former Tonight Show band leader Kevin Eubanks and his band headline the second-annual RiverJazz presented by Concannon Miller, May 10-25 at the SteelStacks arts and cultural campus in Bethlehem. Other highlights of the 2012 RiverJazz presented by Concannon Miller include:

  • Free concerts by local and regional jazz acts on the TD Bank Community Stage on the Air Products Town Square at SteelStacks. The TD Bank Community Stage lineup will be announced at a later date.
  • Painting demonstrations by Banana Factory Resident Artist artist Ann Elizabeth Schlegel. Ann has painted to Jazz musicians' music in Antibes, Juan les Pins, and Jazz a Juan, the oldest and largest jazz festival in Europe. Many of her Jazz paintings are in the collections of musicians and politicians in France, including Monsieur Jean Leonetti, Minister of European Affairs and president of PACA (Provence, Alps, Cote d'Azur).
  • Painting demonstrations by artist Chris Carter, who specializes in abstract and figurative representations of musicians
