A surreal look at the interaction between humans and their environment is the focus of the new fine art exhibition by photographer Russell Hart at the Banana Factory, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem, Pa., from July 10-Sept. 5.

“Views: Photographs by Russell Hart,” which will be on display in the arts center’s Crayola Gallery, features a variety of large-scale black-and-white prints that examine the subtler ways humans alter the landscape.

Hart’s polished use of infrared photography lends a stark atmosphere to the images, which offer deep contrasts between dark skies, glowing human artifacts and sometimes unforgiving environments.
