Musicians and Performing Artists

ArtsQuest’s programming is about to explode (metaphorically speaking) from presenting around 600 different bands, musicians, community groups and other entertainers a year to more than 1,500 annually.

Important sidebar:

Due to the high number of applications we receive, we do not contact artists whose submissions are not currently chosen to perform. It's not that we don't like you, it's just there's no way to get back to everyone. Also, please note that submitted materials will not be returned.

Read below for more information on our various venues & programming capacities, and then submit to be considered to be a part of it all.

Good times!

All submissions will be presented to either ArtsQuest’s Music Arts Committee or Community Arts Committee and evaluated based on type of programming, quality, content, diversity and potential appeal to our audiences. Based on the committee recommendations, someone from the Performing Arts Department will be in touch with artists and groups we are interested to engage in one of our opportunities.

You should update us with a new submission as frequently as every six months if you have new things to share, or once a year to be considered for all events within the next booking calendar year.

So yeah, that's the basics. Here comes the fun stuff...

Festival Opportunities

Performance Venues

The Musikfest Café is a cabaret/club style performing arts venue, with highly flexible configurations available to entertainment. The venue can be set for 450 cabaret seats (tables & chairs); 680 theater style (just chairs); and 1,000 GA style (Standing Room Only – no tables or chairs). The venue will be open three to five nights a week with nationally touring headlines from both near & far. Most shows will typically have a more local/regional opening act. Opening for a show in the Musikfest Café is also a great way to both get a ‘foot-in-the-door’ and begin/continue to develop with our audiences.

The ArtsQuest Center’s Creative Commons & Town Square
The dual stages of the Creativity Commons (inside) and Air Products Town Square at SteelStacks™ (outside) will be programmed on an almost daily basis with local and regional entertainers. These free-to-the-public shows will be presented on the stage which features the best weather on a case-by-case/day-by-day basis! Community and school groups, local bands, solo musicians, and entertainers of all kinds are encouraged to submit to be considered to perform on one of these two stages.

The Air Products Town Square at SteelStacks™/Creative Commons stages are the ideal opportunity’s for local semi-professionals, school or lesson groups looking to play in front of an audience for the first time, or established local vets looking for a great way to connect with the campus’s many visitors on a hopping weekend night.

Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks
Free music for all people is at the core of the Levitt Pavilion’s mission. The outdoor amphitheater with lawn seating for 2,500 will present 50 free-to-the-public concerts over the course of a Memorial Day to Labor Day season each summer. The performances will connect national and regionally touring Artists to diverse audiences.
