Arts Administrator
Exposure and hands-on experience in the administration of programs and gallery exhibitions, curating, handling, preparation, installation and maintenance of arts objects and an introduction to museum studies.

Art & Antiques Market Internship
Individual will conduct research and develop a business plan for an art and antique market to be held weekly. The market will offer an outlet for antique furniture, decorative arts, clothing, books, records, plus contemporary artists and crafters. Organization would also like to explore live on site auctions. An understanding of how to develop a business plan is preferred.

Community Resources Intern
Assist in coordination of volunteer activities for ArtsQuest as it relates to the following programs: Banana Factory, Christkindlmarkt, Musikfest and First Night
- The intern will be involved in preparing materials for training.
- Coordinate logistics required to train volunteers
- Coordinate food requirements as necessary for the volunteers who set-up and take-down an event.
- Assist in scheduling and preparing materials for volunteers
- Prepare correspondence, answer questions and handle volunteer requests as it relates to their schedules.
- Be available to assist on site with events as necessary.
Position Available: Year round
Corporate Relations
Interest in marketing, event management, sales, and the sponsorship industry. Intern will be involved in all aspects of the operation of the Corporate Relations department as follows:
Online research on potential partners/sponsors, Developing Proposals, Coordination of hospitality events, Fulfillment of Sponsorships, Distribution of Tickets, Possibly some sales, Some administrative tasks.
Qualifications: College student or recent graduate, Extremely detail oriented, Well organized, Above average computer proficiency- Excel, Word, Power Point, Marketing, advertising, business, sales, or similar interest, Some knowledge of Event Management.

Farmers Market Internship
Individual will conduct research and develop a business plan for a farmer’s market. The market will be held weekly and offer a “pasture to plate” way of eating. Market will also offer demonstrations by local chefs. An understanding of how to develop a business plan is preferred.

Hospitality
Assist Director of Hospitality in creating relationships with corporations, tour operators and social organizations to encourage them to utilize Banana Factory, Christkindlmarkt and Musikfest venues, programs and entertaining opportunities.

Marketing / Public Relations
Assist the ArtsQuest Marketing Team in all its endeavors. Internship activities include, but are not limited to:
Writing news releases, writing website copy, newsletter articles, creation and management of special promotions, on-site marketing.Position also involves assisting and offering input in all forms of visual marketing, from Internet development to print advertising. Good writing, communications and public relations skills helpful.

Web Design / Graphic Design
This internship requires a student who enjoys working with the organization's emarketing efforts for its 6 (six) websites.
Responsibilities:
- Work with ArtsQuest staff for content management and design of emarketing
- Assist with development, design and maintain content of websites
- Participate in email marketing campaigns, social networking efforts and online community management activities
Knowledge of:
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS is required
- Must be familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver
- Knowledge of Javascript and Flash is a plus
Commitment: available 3-5 days a week, 6-7 hours per day

Performing Arts
Assist with the coordination of all performers and event production as they relate to Musikfest and Christkindlmarkt. Assist in review of materials submitted by artists, coordination of maintaining on-going performer files, and review of performer contracts as they relate to producing event.
Involvement with securing necessary resources to fulfill performer riders and contracts. Assist with sound and light companies and securing staging companies. Involvement with visual aspects of events (stage layout and design and visual site design).

SteelStacks Holiday Celebrations Internship
ArtsQuest is seeking an intern for the Spring Semester, 2010, to conduct research and develop a business plan for holiday celebrations at the new SteelStacks Cultural Campus at the former Bethlehem Steel plant, including the ArtsQuest Center. At the center, ArtsQuest will have a two screen cinema for independent films, the Musikfest Café (which will seat 625 people for concerts and special events, with full food and beverage service), the Blast Furnace Room (which will seat 230-350), the Creativity Commons (which will offer food and beverage service and light entertainment), the Pod Zone (a media lounge), the Town Square, an outdoor music pavilion with audience area for 2500 and Festival Plaza, a tented area for concerts and festival programs.
The intern will assist the Hospitality Department to research, plan and develop a budget for celebrations for holidays including Valentines Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Mardi Gras, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Halloween, Mother’s Day, etc. Research will include creative ways in which these holidays are celebrated in other locations.
The Intern should be a junior, senior or graduate student, with an understanding of how to develop a business plan. Approximately 15-20 hours per week for the 15 weeks of the semester. Critical skill sets include organizational ability, initiative and communication. A basic knowledge of the Lehigh Valley is helpful.
